Derby business news Events

People from across the East Midlands are being invited to jump in the saddle and take on an epic cycling challenge as part of a new corporate challenge event, sponsored by the world leader in triathlon apparel, HUUB.
HUUB Track Attaque is a series of cycling challenges with their headlining 24 hour challenge event taking place at Derby Arena this coming February.
The challenge is open to all and aims to create an even more thrilling experience for every level of cyclist, from the triathlete in training to those considering an introduction into the sport or who have never had the opportunity to ride a velodrome track before.
For businesses it offers a completely unique corporate challenge and provides the perfect platform for charity fundraising. Colleagues, clients and friends can team up and take on this incredible challenge as part of their CSR calendar, supporting any charity of their choice.
24 teams of 6 can take part in this test of endurance, where riders will face the unenviable task of battling both physical exhaustion and mental fatigue as they take to the track in teams vying to cover the furthest distance possible as the 24 hour clock counts down.
Zoe Westerman, Director, Attaque Cycling Events said “Most people’s reaction is that our 24 hour challenge must be for those who ride the velodrome regularly, but the reality is very different. Around 80% of those taking part are new to the velodrome track with teams coming from a mixture of local and national businesses who are using the event to raise money for their chosen charity partners. It’s great to see and a real sense of achievement for any team taking part.”

The challenge clock starts ticking in just under 2 months time, on the 8th & 9th of February, when twenty-four teams of six riders will descend on the velodrome at Derby Arena and 24 hours of non-stop cycling will begin. With only a few team spaces remaining, organisers are encouraging anyone interested to get in touch fast to secure the last spots!
